Helicopter Spirals Wildly into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Coast
A helicopter soaring over a well-attended California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Recordings posted on the internet show the chopper starting to spin over the beach then falling towards the edge of the beach, where it ends up lodged amidst palm trees and a staircase near the coastal road.
First Aid Update
Emergency responders reported five people were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the road were injured. Information on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
